Hello!

From Stephen, Abbie, Esther & Oliver! We are missionaries en route to Bucerias, Mexico. Currently, we are living in NE Arizona with family, awaiting final paperwork to go through, and prayerfully sorting out final details before our move in early 2025. Once we arrive in Mexico, our first year of ministry there, will be working towards the ultimate calling of opening a Christian coffee shop ministry in the heart of the city. We will be working towards that through intentional prayer for our city, church, and the future Buenas Olas Cafe, language learning, cultural immersion for our children, serving at our local church, and radically ordinary hospitality by intentionally opening up our home at least once a week for a time of sharing a meal and getting to know our neighbors and church members. This weekly gathering will be open to all who want to attend, and we would appreciate your prayer and financial support specifically for these weekly meals to be a blessing to us and our guests. By the end of 2025, or beginning of 2026, our goal and vision is to be opening a coffee shop with the following three-fold vision;

Making waves of good through..

 

Setting the table for the ministry of the word & prayer (acts 6:1-7) //

• Hosting weekly prayer meetings

• Being an available space for the local church to host Bible studies, outreaches, ministries.

• Assisting the local church however possible in their hospitality and justice efforts.

• Having a missional heart to bring the kingdom & Christ's love into all interactions we have with our customers through hospitality and intentionality. Sharing the gospel whenever opportunity arises.

 

Having a positive global impact //

• financially supporting by donating a portion of profits to the anti human trafficking, and human justice work of varying Christian nonprofits.

• sourcing all ingredients and coffee from local growers and sustainable practices, to support local farmers and businesses, and decrease our footprint and waste.

 

Intentionally loving our community //

• Hosting community events often.

• Being an inclusive, safe, welcoming space, that invites everyone in to experience and come to know the love of Christ through a great cup of coffee, intentional relationships, and bold sharing of the Gospel.    

• Being aware of needs in the community & being flexible to meet those, or connect them with the local church and other resources that can.

If you feel led to partner with us, our main request is that you fervently pray alongside us for specifically these three things;

- God's favor on our family as we immigrate to a new country, culture, and language

- Provision for our car, a home, a school for Esther, and friendships for us all

- Preparation in our hearts, and in our community, for the opening of Buenas Olas Cafe. For God to bless and lead the ministry to glorify Him, and serve the community well.
